Brihaspati Vidyasadan successfully conducted its 7th Open House session at Brihaspati School Premises.

Our Principal Mr. Kumar Thapa and Junior School In-charge, Ms. Kamana Shah led the session and concluded with a Question and Answer session and a school tour.

Inter School Quiz Competition

Our dear Brihaspatians made it to the Semi Final Round of Inter School Quiz Competition organised by Mountain Television.  

Open House Event Held: (March 7)

To foster the relationships between school and home, Brihaspati Vidyasadan organized its second Open House session on March 7, 2024. The event was a session consisting of an Address from our respected Principal Mr. Kumar Thapa and questions and answer sessions to follow.

The event started at 4 PM and we had fruitful discussions on basically 2 agendas:

  1. Teaching and learning pedagogies at Brihaspati Vidyasadan
  2. Teacher-Student relationship

The Open House session also featured our grade teachers from different classes, who addressed the different queries and concerns of our dear parents and participants.

All in all, it was a beatific event.

BVS Utsav 2080

At Brihaspati Vidyasadan School, we believe that students are creative birds who should be allowed to express themselves in the best way possible. Keeping that theory in mind, Brihaspati Vidyasadan had their annual BVS Utsav 2080 on February 24, 2024 at Brihaspati Premises.

The event showcased multiple cultural as well as modern art showcases featuring our students from Grades 5 to Grade 10. The event was inaugurated by the Principal, Mr. Kumar Thapa. A scintillating engagement was seen from the crowd as the students showcased their talents and creative prowess. The performances featured dance forms from the Sakela dance to the Maaruni to the Shiva Tandav to Yoga Darshans.

Along with the fiery stage performances, the event also featured multiple recreational, food, games and art stalls which mesmerized the crowd and added to that engagement platter at the event.

Brihaspati Meraki Event

10+2 students of Brihaspati Vidyasadan hosted their annual Meraki event among enthusiastic crowds and lively performances. The event held at Brihaspati premises, on February 17, 2024 consisted of wonderful dance, band, and creative performances. The emcees of the event made sure that the participants did not have a boring experience.

The premises itself was full of stalls consisting of food, games, and recreation. Educational stalls were also put up for the benefit of the students. All in all, we had an overwhelming response from the participants and the visitors at the event.

Pre- School Olympiads Held

On February 14, 2024, Brihaspati Vidyasadan hosted the Pre-School Olympiad for multiple pre-schools across Kathmandu. The students were accompanied by their parents and their school teachers. The participating students took part in activities such as running, jumping, one legged races and even stage performances.

The games and sports were followed by a school tour of the BVS Premises by the BVS team. Overall, the parents, the children, and all the participants on the day had a wonderful time indeed.

Walkathon, Eye Camp and Dental Camp

On February 4, Brihspati Vidyasadan organised a Walkathon on the occasion of World Cancer Day. The Walkathon went on for 45 minutes and saw enthusiastic participation from teachers, students as well as locals. The main aim of the event was to promote Cancer free, healthy and beatific society through exercises and healthy living.

Similarly, on February 3 and 6, we had Dental Camp as well as Eye Check Up Camp and Brihaspati as a part of the health camp activities. Students from the junior school, the middle school and also the secondary school participated actively and took some serious health feedbacks from the professionals

The faculty and the staff members of Brihaspati Vidyasadan were involved in training as well as recreational sessions last week. The sessions helped the faculty and the staff members to work on their cohesiveness, teamwork, and bonding.

The training was focused on leadership, communication, reflections, and value-based education. The comprehensive training and recreation sessions also helped the staff members loosen some muscles and energize themselves as we prepared to welcome the students with merry faces and open arms after the vacation.
