Admission Process & Policy for BVS Plus 2

Eligiblity for Enrollment

Students who have successfully completed or who expect to successfully complete the Secondary Education Examination (S.E.E) or equivalent are eligible to apply.

Registration

The admission process begins when a candidate submits a fully completed registration form in the given format. It will take less than a minute to submit the registration form online at BVS. The registration form can be accessed from the following link:

Documents to be submitted:

  • Birth Certificate (Issued by local government- ward office, rural municipality, etc)
  • Two recent passport size color photographs
  • Copy of Parent’s citizenship or passport.
  • Copy of Parents’ citizenship card or passport.
  • Copy of the latest mark sheet (SEE) and other school issued certificates (character/ recommendation/ transfer).

After completing the registration and the documentation processes, candidates will sit for a computer based test (CBT) followed by an interview to begin the selection process. Dates for the tests will be informed beforehand. Only after getting the results and upon the availability of seats based on a first come first serve basis will the candidate be offered a seat. Presence of a parent and the payment of admissions fees are mandatory to confirm the students’ admission.

Admission Process & Policy for School (Grade 1 to 9)

The candidate/parent should fill the registration form/application through online. We don't have a registration fee.

  • Birth Certificate (Issued by local government- ward office, rural municipality etc)
  • Two recent passport size colored photographs of the candidate.
  • Copy of Parent’s citizenship or passport.
  • Copy of latest Marksheet and other school issued certificates (character/ recommendation/ transfer). For grade 2 and above.
  • To apply for admission to grade 1, a candidate's age on their birth certificate should show at least 5 and a half years complete. With each passing grade, the minimum age required increases by one year.

After submitting the registration form along with the above mentioned documents, parents should attend the admission info session of the school. Accepted candidates for grade 3 and below can pay the admission fees and confirm the admission. Candidates for grades 4 and above have to sit for an admissions aptitude test on the given date. Only after getting the results of the test and subject to availability of seats on a first come first serve basis will the candidate be offered a seat. Payment of admissions fees upon verification of documents will only confirm the admission.

Scholarship Policy

All the scholarships will be provided up on application along with supporting documents. School’s selection committee has the right to accept or reject the scholarship applications.

Brihaspati Vidyasadan is a high school from Grades 1 to 12. It takes admissions in Grade 11 for its Plus 2 program .

As per National Education Board (NEB) guidelines, we offer selected Management, Science and Humanities courses. Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Psychology, Sociology, Computer, Mathematics, Hotel Management, Business Studies, Economics, Marketing, Accounts other than compulsory subjects are what we offer.

Class timings are from 8.30 AM till 3.10 PM. Students need to be in school by 8.20 AM. In BVS Plus 2, Non-science/ Management classes end at 1.45 PM and Science classes end at 3.10 PM.

Admissions process begin by filling out online application form. You will be guided about the process by our admissions team. There will be information sharing, counseling, school tour followed by an appropriate entrance test and an interview.

Yes, for admission in Grade 11, you need to appear a standard entrance test followed by an interview. Same applies for admission in Grades 3 and above.

Entrance Tests happen at multiple times during school hours when admission/ registration is open. When you register online, you will be notified of the test timings. Generally the test will including interview last from 60 to 90 minutes. However, your wait time for interview depends on the number of applicants appearing the test at the same time.

The entrance tests will fundamentally aim to assess your Skills and Knowledge in Nepali, English and Maths. You do not need to prepare for it in any specific way. A habit to read, write and practice/ revise these subjects will definitely help.

Once your Entrance Test is conducted, you will receive an email or SMS about its result the following day.

Once you follow the due process of filling online form and Entrance Test as appropriate, you will be sent an Offer Letter or Call for Admission if you have met all the criteria successfully. You will need to fill out the admission form, submit all documents listed there and pay admission fee and first month/ installment fee to confirm your admission at BVS.

The fees at BVS are very reasonable considering the value, experience to its students and facilities the school provides. You can contact admissions team or front desk to find out about the fees.

If you are applying for admission in Grade 11, you will be entitled to scholarship on your merit basis. You will get 100%, 50% and 25% scholarships in Tuition fee of the first installment if you have secured A+, A and B+ respectively.

For students in BVS Plus 2, we have a separate food court where students can pay and eat healthy meals at reasonable prices. Food quality is consistently checked by the Management along with a certified nutritionist’s guidance. For students in Grades 1-10, school provides menu-based lunch and snack over buffet counters daily.

We have school buses to pick up and drop students from many places in the Kathmandu valley.

At Brihaspati we put healthy food options as our top most priority. Hence we keep in my mind the allergies that you have notified us of, and we make sure to plan meal around the information you have provided.

We have an infirmary with a dedicated doctor who is on call and 2 nurses deployed on premise for anything that might happen to our students.
